Arbor Peakflow SP provides "intelligent" visibility into your network backbone traffic. By building a model of "normal" network activity, Peakflow SP can subsequently alert network operators to anomalies that could be due to simple router misconfigurations, new peering or transit relationships, or distributed denial of service (DDos) attacks that can quickly consume your backbone’s shared network resources.

Detect and Mitigate DDoS Attacks To many, Peakflow SP is considered the de facto standard when it comes to DDoS attack detection and mitigation. In addition to comprehensive real-time and historical reporting, Peakflow SP can aid in attack mitigation by automatically creating content for access control lists (ACLs) or Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) black hole routes. For more surgical mitigation of only attack traffic, Arbor’s Peakflow SP Threat Management System (Peakflow SP TMS) can be used to stop attacks up to 10Gbps.

Increase Revenue While Decreasing Costs In addition to reducing network backbone costs via more intelligent backbone engineering and detailed peering/transit analysis, Peakflow SP can simultaneously be used to generate new revenue via in-cloud DDoS protection services. This allows you to increase profits and further maximize your network infrastructure. For more information on how to deliver a Peakflow SP-based in-cloud DDoS protection service, click here.
